Getting started using your MediaShare Wireless streaming device is simple. Just follow these easy steps:

Download the MediaShare Wireless App for Android or iOS from the App Store or Google Play to your tablet or smartphone. Simply search for MediaShare Wireless.

Using the Wi-Fi connection on your smartphone or tablet, connect to the MediaShare Wireless device.

Launch the MediaShare Wireless app and you’re ready to begin streaming content, uploading/downloading files or organizing content!

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN PURCHASING A WIRELESS STORAGE DEVICE:

Does the device work with memory cards and USB external storage devices?

Not all wireless storage devices support memory card (SDXC, SDHC and SD*) and external storage device (HDD) use, and as a result are limited to the capacity of the wireless storage device itself. To truly get the most from your wireless storage device, look for a drive that supports both memory cards and external storage devices. The Verbatim MediaShare Wireless supports SDXC, SDHC and SD* memory cards, as well as USB 2.0 and 3.0 external storage devices.

If the device supports memory cards – is my memory card compatible?

While SDXC and SDHC memory cards will provide maximum transfer speeds when used with wireless storage devices, you want to make sure that the device is compatible with the type of card you currently have, for your digital camera, dSLR, camcorder or other device. And take note that when using wireless storage devices with SD memory cards, a Class 4 or higher card is recommended.

Can I use the device while it’s charging?

Whether it’s a phone, tablet, or wireless storage device, no one wants to have his or her activity or productivity disrupted by recharging a low battery. With the Verbatim MediaShare Wireless wireless storage device – you don’t have to worry, simply plug the device into the USB port on your laptop or desktop computer and the device remains fully operational while charging.

Do I have to install anything on my smartphone/tablet?

The MediaShare Wireless streaming device works with a free downloadable app called “MediaShare Wireless” that is available via the App Store or Google Play. This app allows your MediaShare Wireless streaming device to communicate with your tablet or smartphone and once this communication is established, allows you to:

View, play and stream files from your memory cards (SDXC, SDHC and SD*) or
external storage devices (HDD)
Copy files
-    From your smartphone or tablet to MediaShare for streaming/sharing with up to 5 other users
